Music has been a part of her life. She grew up listening to K-pop and K-R&B with an interest in other alternative genres. At university, she developed a strong connection to the Goth Subculture and never looked back.

deadpan specializes in creating music that blends elements of goth rock and post-punk, as well as darkwave and EBM/Techno/Industrial. She also dabbles in metal and R&B music. Her music is inspired by legends like Bauhaus, Scarlet's Remains, and Siouxsie. She loves experimenting with different sounds and incorporating unique elements into her music.

Within her music and career, she strives to encourage other weird, queer, and passionate people of color to do what they love, embracing their differences, and to stand up for change by simply existing, creating, and speaking up. deadpan believes that being yourself is enough and that you can also make a living from it.
